Basilisk Isle is in the season of Autumn. Farmers and Orchards owners are in the height of business and the animals are starting to wind down for Winter.

/ The Story

The Age of Shining has long passed since the Mage has hid and given up the land to Kings and Queens. Now the High King rules over Basilisk Isle and is ignoring the old ways. The land is dying as are his people and the High King cares not. Now we are entering into the 1st Year of the Fatal Century. Now everyone is waiting for the legend to come true. Will the rightful High King sit on his throne and will the Age of Renewed Shining come?

_{If you do not obey these rules you will get a few warnings and then be suspended and finally kicked off. I’m serious on this, I’m wanting a fun experience for everyone.

Rules of the Site and You!

1. When you signed up, not that you knew it, you signed up to advertise this site. I want this board to stay alive and interesting. You also signed up to be ACTIVE. If you are not on your account for a long time I will delete your account and everything you have up. Also if you do not bring at least 2 people a week or so I will deal with you at that time.

2. You will be Literate even OOC, I can’t read it and it isn’t a the natural way of spelling things. It’s slang and though I promote slang when it comes to characters I won’t when it comes to people. If you wish to use chatspeak then go text a friend.

3. NO CURSING! I hate hearing or even reading them. There are alternatives, use them! There might be kids that shouldn't read them, I don't want complaints! Besides even the most grown up person on here should read them or speak them, I just won’t have it on my site. I don’t want to see any curse word because if I do I’ll go right to being suspended for a few days.

4. Be respectful of the staff and fellow members. I will not tolerate bullies or rude people. If you wish to pick on someone then pick on someone in your town, not here. You’ll be blocked from the site if I see anyone doing this. Besides, the staff and fellow members will give you the utmost respect even if they don’t feel it for you. We can’t all like each other but we will act like proper humans and listen to everyone and use the golden rule.

5. No spamming the threads. Period. If you are caught doing this, you will be banned. No ads for winning prizes, no looking for boyfriends or girlfriends, no nothing. Take that far away from here. Again, abide by the golden rule!

6. Dealing with art and poetry...bottom line: They MUST be your own works of art. If not, and we see it belongs to someone else, drastic measures will be taken. Art theft is a horrible thing, and will be dealt with swiftly.

7. Also, no weird names. I don’t mind pen names or nicknames used here, I understand that the internet is a terrible place and your identity can be stolen easily thus I’ll allow things like a character’s name, a name that you wish you had, etc. but nothing like “naruto_fan123.” If you like Naruto then go watch it, I don’t feel the need to have crazy names like that running around here.

Rules for the Characters!

1. No Cursing! Like you I don’t want your character to do it. I know that few have the tendency to do it but not here.

2. You will be Literate! Plain and simple. So no chatspeak or anything like that.
The dictionary description of this word is: a person that uses proper grammar! That means as long as you use the proper punctuations, grammar usage, and spelling--doesn't have to be perfect but try your best--you‘ll improve along with the site and get great reviews from your fellow member. Use spell check and/or a dictionary, they are your friends. Use details and think through your posts. No one liners! Writer's Block is understandable but at least try to put 3-4 sentences in the post. I really shouldn’t have to put all of this because as an literate writer and role player you should know it all, but I will just in case.

3. This is for everyone--since this is a fantasy role-play forum, if you wish to know some powers and different elements I’ll have a page that you can use and get ideas from. No more then 2 powers and that is only for the castes that use magic. I‘ll make those castes known, they‘ll have it in the description. Keep them linked in some way. Now I don’t want everyone to have the same power and I want a brief but thought out description of how the element/power bends to your character’s will. This will help out a lot in the role play and when people are trying to understand your power.

4. I am a fan of anime but I also have the power to delete nude or pictures with no taste to them. Make the person have at least a bit of clothing covering the areas that should be covered. Children might be on here!

5. Please finish the whole of your profile before you send it to an Admin. If one isn’t on then tell a Global Mod or Mod that you have a finished character. They are to direct you to an Admin Profile and then you can PM said profile to the Admin. Please don’t overload the message boxes with half done profiles, if you want praise, you’ll get it. However, you won’t get it by annoying another member. Wait until you post it, I’m sure there will be many--including myself--that will tell you how great the character sounds.

6. Another note on the character profiles, please fill everything in. Please don’t complain about it on the cbox, I wouldn’t have put the things I can on the form if I didn’t want them filled. If your character doesn‘t, for example, have a special skill put none or take it off. If you want to add stuff, go right ahead. The more descriptive the profile is the more people can get a mental image of the character even if you have a picture. Please don’t put a picture in place of a character, I still want a description of the person’s appearance. The only place I will allow picture instead of descriptions is clothing. I know many people that could go on and on with a description of clothing--myself included--but others require visual aides--myself included.

Rules of Role-playing!

1. No godmoding or power playing. It will be strongly enforced and if I find anyone doing this, you will be suspended. If you don’t know what godmoding or power playing is then please as a Admin, Global Mod, or Mod, that is why I’ve appointed those people to those positions.

2. There will be absolutely no chat speak in the role-play mode. It needs to be in full sentences, grammatically correct to the best of your abilities, and have few spelling errors. The paragraphs need to be at least 4 to 5 sentences long. We will not look down on you if you can only get a paragraph in one post, we understand Writer’s Block. Likewise, we won’t look down on you if you have a novel length post. (Believe me, when we get into a role-play some of the members go all out.) If you need help with role-playing or writing there are boards on the site for it. Again the upper staff can help out with this as well. If you ask we will give your questions the utmost importance and won’t laugh. Questions about learning and improving aren’t to be ashamed of, if you want to learn and improve it means you are willing to take another’s advice and use it.

3. There can be OOC conversation within the role play--we all do it--as long as it is obvious there is one. You can use any of the following: ( ) { } [ ] to create a conversations and discus ideas for plot twist ideas. While I don’t mind conversations during the role-play it is rather hard to keep up with so make sure it does not endure throughout the entire thread. If the conversation is going longer than you had thought please PM the person you are talking to or use the cbox.

4. Your character can be in a total of TWO places at a time. I know its unrealistic, but what if there is a longer RP going on, and you are in the thralls of a romantic moment? It would be no fun leaving your role play in one thread to join another. So two is the limit. It also allows for more role-plays and more ideas with the different members of the site.

5. You may not kill another character, unless you have their written permission, and it is part of the plot you two have laid out. I don’t mind violence but keep the gore down to a minimum. This also goes for romance, I’m all for it but was it passes anything PG than please jump forward in time. Your character will still have the experience of whatever it was but the rest of us won’t and I’m sure that will make many sleep better at night (I know I will).

Rules for Suggestions/Site Work/Staff Positions/Misc.!

1. If you have suggestions please PM an Admin. They have the authority to listen and suggest things that will improve your idea but I--Seleane Gray--am the only one that has the top authority to give the yes. If the suggestion doesn’t benefit the site and its growth then it will be discarded. (Not that is wasn’t a good one)

2. If you wish to add a caste(class) or a race then please PM me. I enjoy seeing the ideas of others and if the idea catches my interest and ensue a conversation you can be sure I’ll add what ever it is.

3. Do you wish to help out around the site? There is a board that will be added to or have things taken from it as the site grows and the needs of the site and people change. Please PM me if you have questions about one or if you wish to join a project or lead it. A few will result in staff positions and few won’t.

4. Staff positions will be give out as I will. Yet if you wish to know how to gain one then you have to impress me with writing skills, helping out the site and its members when an upper staff member isn’t on the site, and being kind to all. If you do this and help the site grow then you’ll start at the bottom of the totem pole and work up. A few of the staff positions have a limited number of members so it might seem that you are stuck at one point and can’t go further, that doesn’t mean I don’t like you or you aren’t helping out the site. It simply means that there is no more positions in a higher rank.

5. I know this will come up somewhere but the avatars on the site is what you use. I know a few staff members aren’t using them, they either have them in their signature or they are upper staff and have been with me for years now. Please don’t complain about it, I don’t want to hear it.

If I have to add to this I will. I hope I don’t but if you force my hand I’ll make these rules even more strict and I’ll become harsh. I don’t wish to do this but if I must I will.}
