Basilisk Isle is in the season of Autumn. Farmers and Orchards owners are in the height of business and the animals are starting to wind down for Winter.
/ The Story
The Age of Shining has long passed since the Mage has hid and given up the land to Kings and Queens. Now the High King rules over Basilisk Isle and is ignoring the old ways. The land is dying as are his people and the High King cares not. Now we are entering into the 1st Year of the Fatal Century.
Now everyone is waiting for the legend to come true. Will the rightful High King sit on his throne and will the Age of Renewed Shining come?

Rebellion. War. Hidden Nobles. Great Power. A Dangerous Secret.
The secret died with the founding race. Only one person can stop the destruction now….
The first year of the Fatal Century is coming to an end but even that short amount of time the High King has killed many, starved his people, gained a following, and stirred up the masses. Half of Basilisk Isle would like to see the King dethroned, killed, or thrown into Dead Neck Run. Ten brave people, all from different lifestyles, classes, and personalities stand in the shadows ready to do just that.
There is only one problem, the only person powerful enough is thought to be dead or uncaring. The earth is dying and many feel the wound Mother Nature has taken to the earth. Can the Band find the Mage in time or will they be the next ones on the end of the High King’s sword?

Basilisk Isle is a new and growing site, a tight knit community where everyone know everyone. Fast friends are made on the Isle, for both the players and the characters. You must be dictionary definition Literate even if you think your writing is weak. You can improve with the Writing Help board and Roleplaying Help board.
Do you write, draw, or have ideas that you would like some advice on? Many of the people of the Isle are just like you--they write, draw, photography, and want to know that their work is good. There is even help on the site to improve your craft whatever it may be.
There are lots of different, playable races, some that have twists to it that will make them look new to even the most mythos fan. Even the classes that characters can assume will feel different as you start playing around the Isle.
“A classic tale.” Words describing the site from the very mouth of the Moderator Rook. We’ve been friends for about five years and enjoys role-playing and going along with the crazy ideas I cook up.
There is even a Map Contest starting up. The person that wins will get a few surprises like a drawing from me, a feature on the site, and having the world of the Isle look at the winner’s map.
Many staff jobs are still open as well.

Alright, I'll jump right on that.
Also, I've been browsing around for topsites you may be interested in joining, but if we are to advertise BI is going to need a section- a scroller, or something- with the links back to the page.
